fadumo mahamud

Hi! I’m Fadumo Mahamud and I am an undergraduate psych student at UW. I am a SURFiN fellow joining the lab, and I’m excited to deepen my understanding of neuroscience and psychology. My current research interests center on how neural circuits influence behavior and how trauma impacts the brain and I plan to pursue graduate studies in the future. I’m also passionate about representing my community, making sure people like me feel seen and have opportunities to succeed. In my free time, I enjoy reading, exploring new places, and trying new foods with friends and family.
