Hi! I am Izabela Carpenter (they/them) and I'm the research technologist for the Ahmed Lab. I received my Bachelor's in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Washington in 2022 and Master's in Materials Science and Engineering in 2025. My main research interests are biomimetic and bioinspired materials. Outside of the lab I like to watch movies, sculpt and cook.
