kate loftis

Hello, my name is Kate (she/her) and I recently graduated from UW with a bachelors in Neuroscience and Psychology. During an internship at the Allen Institute I explored convergence patterns of neurons in the mouse visual cortex, where I became interested in connectomics and computational work. Currently I am interested in better understanding how our neural circuitry gives rise to cognition and behavior, and I hope to eventually continue my studies in grad school. Outside of the lab I love going to the gym, singing karaoke, and talking with my family.
