kyle thieringer

Hi my name is Kyle Thieringer (he/him). I am a first year graduate student in the neuroscience program here at UW, currently rotating in the Ahmed lab. I grew up in the beautiful garden state of New Jersey. I then moved to Boston where I received my bachelors degree in neuroscience from Northeastern University. After graduating I joined Mala Murthy’s lab as a technician, supporting wonderful scientists and working on a project to understand the coordination of behavioral modes of different qualities and timescales during social interactions of flies. Outside of the lab you’ll find me cooking, hiking, climbing, and generally exploring the pacific northwest.
